To recover data from a hard disk drive containing bad sectors, we suggest you create an image of the hard drive because scanning for data on the original hard drive will be very slow and more usage of such a disk can increase the bad sectors.
To create an image, follow the below-mentioned steps:
<iframe class="hidden-xs" id="video-mac" width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/rRrdo9nguTw?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
- Launch >Stellar Mac Data Recovery software and click Start New Scan.
- Select the hard drive/volume whose image you wish to create.
Note: In case, you wish to create an image of a specific region/part of the drive/volume, move the slider in Select Region area to select the range of the drive/volume.
- Choose the button and specify the location for saving the image file.
- The software starts creating an image of the selected drive/volume.
The software saves the image of the media disc at the specified location.
